Willard M. Jones, Sr., 92, passed away Nov. 19, 2022.

Mr. Jones was born in Lake Wales, FL in 1929. He served in the U.S. Army, and was injured in Korea. He loved sports, and was voted Most Athletic in college. He signed with the Cleveland Indians before being drafted into the Army. He later coached little league baseball for many years. Mr. Jones hobbies also included hunting, fishing, dancing in his earlier years, and he even had a nice singing voice. He had a green thumb and could grow anything in his yard and garden.

He was a kind man with a generous spirit, who loved to laugh and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He made many lifelong friends through his 31 years with Mosaic as a maintenance mechanic. He was very involved in his labor union, helping anyone who called on him.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lynn; children, Malcolm “Bo”, Jamie and Lori; grandchildren, Lindsay, Kelly and Jillian; great grandchildren, Jocelynn, Sebastian and Duke; sons-in-law, Mark and Marty. He was preceded in death by his 10 siblings.
