John Disbot, 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. John was born in Philadelphia on November 16, 1942, to his parents, Joseph, and Josephine (Sawicki) Disbot. He graduated from Father Judge High School in 1960, then enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served 4 years of active duty and 2 years in the reserves. John was a longtime employee of Rohm and Haas, a chemical manufacturing company headquartered in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. He was also an avid baseball fan, especially of the Philadelphia Phillies. He later moved to the Lakeland, Florida, area in 2003 and became a dedicated member of Together Church of God.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Talbot), and brother, Joseph Disbot.

He is survived by his son Leo (Dena) Disbot, daughters Eunice Disbot and Dyanna (David) Collins, his grandchildren Kyle, Jake, Leah, Spencer, and Cara, his stepson Adam Talbott and his children Alyssa, Aiden, and Sadie, and sister-in-law Bonnie Talbott.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 10 to 11 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Together Church in Lakeland. Interment will take place in private at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, where John will join his late wife, Wanda.
