Aftab Iqbal leaves TV program Hasb-e-Haal
The lead anchor of famous TV program Hasb-e-Haal Aftab Iqbal, has left the program after a dispute with the owner of Dunya TV channel Mian Aamir Mehmood.
Sources told Jazba Blog, that Aftab, after a quarrel with Mian Aamir, has left Dunya TV but he was later requested many times to join again for the sake of his program Hasb-e-Hal but Aftab Iqbal simply denied the request by saying he is not interested any more.
Hasb-e-Hal is now joined by a new anchor Junaid Saleem, the owner of an Urdu Newspaper Daily Insaf Lahore.
Sources also told that Azizi and Najia the co hosts of the program have also threatened that if Aftab will not join the program within days they will also quit this program as they are not ready to continue this program without Aftab Iqbal.
Sources also told that Aftab has also warned the owner of the TV channel to change the name of this program as the rights of this name Hasb-e-Hal are owned by Aftab Iqbal.

Well contrary to what has been said in this post, Aftab iqbal didn’t leave the program in fact he was FIRED because of several issues. Najia and Azizi haven’t threatened to leave the show either. However i do agree its kinda difficult to adjust with the new host. Well all were accustomed to the trio……

I think Aftab Iqbal is offered hand some amount from other channel. These channels were jealous with the popularity of program and tried to shake it. Instead of coming up with their own new idea they found it easy to initiate a deal with Aftab. Now if the whole team moves to another channel, it would prove that Aftab Iqbal has done a deal.
I am shocked to see Hasb e Haal this week without Aftab. Though we always loved Azizi, we also realize that the program without him has lost its charm. Duniya TV has nothing to watch except Hasb e haal and the program will now sink as they have replaced him with this feminish and husky sound who is immitating him in a most disgusting manner.
I called and told the above to your producer as well and am writing to Yusuf B Mirza as well. najia and Sohail Ahmed should quit as well.

In My view the programme was doing well but i dont like proud peoples like Aftab. I just hate the way he sit in the programme.
Any ways this is the part of life some one comes and some one leaves…. so its too early to say any thing about the future of a programme and channel.
And by the way no channel servive just because of one programme.

This is my most favourite programme among pakistani channels. Howerver, the atraction in this was only with the team, ie Aziiz, Najia and aftab Ibal. Best of tries must be made to work this team together, either in Dunya news or any other channel.

Aftab Iqbal had asked the management of Dunya TV to replace Sohail Ahmed with someone else, because according to him, Azizi had hijacked his show. Having refused by the management, he left the show & Dunya TV. Moreover, he sold the copyrights of Hasb e Haal’s concept & title to Dunya TV before beginning with this show,… so he cant claim anything regarding that. However, news regarding Najia & Azizi leaving the show or demanding something are pure rumours.

Without Aftab Iqbal, Program has losst interest. New host is not doing justice with the program. Dunya TV will soon see that no one will be interessted in the program even though Azizi is doing well. Without Aftab Iqbal program has lost its credibility. Why TV channel cant understand that people watch the program due to quality not due to channel. We feel sorry for this attitude of TV owner.
Some people are prominent by nature If you want to change by yourself ability It will be more prety and maximum will be change in dull colour . So Hasb e hall is in decline.
We should just boycott the program till Mr. Aftab Iqbal comes back. He was the one who was running the programme. The program was his baby. He was a learned person. This new Gentleman is a joker his own pronounciation is very bad what he will correct others. Let’s all viewers of the program should boycott. I would request Sohail Ahmed and Nazia to also boycott the program. This might be a face saver for them otherwise they will lose their imagine what they attained because of the program.

Who could have liked Aftab Iqbal more than me? I was angrily up, to blast out against his exit from Hasb-e-Haal. But just felt ashamed at what I heard from very credible resources. The dominant Aftab Iqbal threatened the CEO of Dunya news to put the prestige of the channel on stake by ruining the most informative, humorous, fairly-political and widely and happily accepted program “Hasb-e-Haal”. He was never later requested to come back again and rejoin. Tell me what, if a man disrespects the employer over monetary dispute (the most cheap thing), should the employer be considered to call back again that rotten melon? Aftab disrespected Azizi too. Man! Azizi is the heart of the show. Do you think that this could have made the CEO happy?
C’mon Guys… Anchors and hosts are just the face of the channel. The real credit goes to the researchers and hard workers behind the scenes (the heart and brain of the channel) who worked day and night for the success of that show. They shouldn’t get abused, as Aftab tried to do so. The heart of the show “Great Azizi” is still there. Behind the scenes, Azizi is also a victim of Aftab’s arrogance and that’s what the CEO of dunya news really disliked. This show is heavily backed by a huge public demand, and they will never let its taste ruin. Topics of the program are chosen current affairs which attract public interests, which make it an “ever green” show.
Dunya News exposed an un-known man (Aftab) to the heights of the popularity. And he, due to consequences of his deeds lost that position which he earned through the channel.

it is true that my namesake was the founder of hasbehall and over time the programme has improved a graet deal and the credit goes to aftab iqbal. Aftab was not perfect he made complete hash of zuban o bayan in English, as his pronunciation in English was quite suspect. More recently he did stay away from correcting English pronunciation particularly after the metric – meetric incident. The real jaan of the programme is and will always be Azizi. It is true that the three of them togather had chemistry and they worked well with each other. Obviously it would have been better if aftab had stayed but that is not the case and if we are completely honest and objective junaid saleem is doing a good job. His voice is slightly high pitched compared to aftab which stops him from giving the impression of complete command and authority but with practice and services of a voice trainer this could be solved. Lets give junaid saleem a chance It is not his fault that he is where he is. I have nothing but the very best wishes for him and for hasbehall

As far as me and my family is concerened, he is the first corner of this beautiful tri-angle. although nothing is permanent in this world and people replaced by other people, but Aftab Iqbal is very necessary with this program. I also requested Mr. Aftab Iqbal to join as early as possible and resolve this conflict as soon as possible. God Bless him and Hasb-e-Haal.

For all U guys….. I am a genuine fan of the show. Not the faces they show. It doesn’t matter who is sitting in there. If the show is still providing the same sensation, then what problem do u guys have to watch it. What is particular in the name Hasb-e-Haal. When this show was in it’s early ages, did anyone of u knew that how this show will go in future? Aftab was then unknown. Just like the new host. Give him a go. He will do the best as he is expected to. What do u think.. doesn’t the channel know the importance of their show? Would they let it’s rating down? No… They will be thinking to make it better than previous. What do u think, doesn’t they know what loss Aftab did by leaving the channel inadequately? My credible resources told that he demanded far more than he was worthy for. And when his colleagues and show mates tried to calm him, he disgraced them too. He deserved that kick. C’mon guys… be realistic. He don’t deserve to be there any more. He blackmailed and disrespected his benefactors who gave him and his Hasb-e-Haal the worldwide exposure. Me and my community don’t want him back at any cost.
programme hasbe-e-haal is based on this triangle and they 3 r compulsorily linked, without aftab this programme has no worth and charm. He is the soul of this programme no matter what is the reason but he should take over other wise this programme should b stopped and these 2 people should quit it immediately.

I don’t know when people of Pakistan would realise the importance of a single person. I have found few people saying “There are many Aftab Iqbal’s in Pakistan and we should give them opportunity to”. But i would like to say that we always show this spirit and loose our great people. Aftab Iqbal is the best person on Pakistani TV. My family really misses him. Without him this program is just another political gup shup program. He should be hired again at any cost.
It is very shocking that Aftab Iqba has left, cmbination of Azizi,Najiya, and Aftab Iqbal is best, now it is boring i have decided not to waste my time any more.
Dunya TV should think about public or their viewers not for them, bring him back if you really want to reach and sustain the hights.
