Child dies due to sit in of Tehrik Khatam-e-Nawawwut

Sit in of Tehrik Khatam-e-Nawawwut (TKN) has blocked almost all the routes leading towards federal capital Islamabad.

An innocent child of eight months breathed his last as he could not reach to the PIMS Hospital well in time due to sit-in at Faizabad, junction of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The father of the deceased has registered a case in Thana Koral against Khadim Hussain Rizvi and his accomplices.

According to details Bilal Ahmad a resident of Jinnah garden has told Koral Police Station that on Thursday morning at 7.30 a.m. he shifted his child in a critical condition to a nearby hospital, where doctors referred him to take the child to either Poly Clinic or PIMS urgently. But highway and parallel roads were blocked due to sit in.

“I asked the participants of the sit in to give us a safe passage but no one listened to my request. To avoid further delay we took the child to Rawal Hospital, but it was too late and the child breathed his last there in the lap of his mother”, he added.

He said if they had been given a passage on time, his child could have been saved.
He reiterated that Khadim Hussain Rizvi and his accomplices are responsible for the death of his child and they should be given punitive punishment under section 322 of CrPC. On the Petition of Bilal Ahmad a case has been registered and initiated probe. Sit in continues creating much problems to the general public.
