ISLAMABAD: Chief of Awami Mulim League Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that current opposition seems divided in the parliament and grand opposition is needed to play the role of genuine opposition.
He said this while talking to media outside the parliament house on Monday.
Sheikh Rasheed said that it is the disgrace of parliament to give vote without demand,
“I have never seen such tradition in my entire political life”, he was commenting on the support of Peoples Party for Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) on candidates for the slot of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Appreciating Nawaz Sharif on his decision of legislation for government in Balochistan, he said it would help to sort out the major problems regarding Balochistan, including issues of missing persons and the sense of deprivation.
He said nominating Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch as Chief Minister Balochistan is good decision by Nawaz Sharif.
Talking about the challenges for new Prime Minister, Sheikh Rasheed said that round the clock hard work will be required to overcome on the issues like energy crises, law and order and unemployment.
Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Speaker are being brought from Lahore, and then the President may also be taken from Lahore, he added.
Replying to a query about Pervez Musharraf, he said this question should be asked from the person who held promise of doing so. Further he explained that action couldn’t be taken against him under article 6.
