Severe heat wave grips country

ISLAMABAD: The Metrological Office says that most parts of the country remained in grip of severe heat wave on Saturday.

The met office however predicted light rain in Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara Division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Severe heat wave was developed during twenty-four hours over Sibbi, Turbat and Lasbela in Balochistan and Dadu in Sindh. The temperature remained 48 oC.

Temperature in Larkana and Bahawalnagar was recorded 47 oC while 46 oC in Hyderabad, Multan, Nawabshah, Sukkur, DG Khan and Rahim Yar Khan.

Light rain was occurred in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Lahore. About 9 mm rain was recorded in Astore while 4 mm in Chilas, Skardu and one mm in Gilgit.
