Rahim Yar Khan: A UK based relief and development non-government organization (NGO) Human Appeal International Saturday handed over 130 sheltered houses to the flood affected people of the area here in a local hotel during a key handing over ceremony.
A large number of people from all walks of life especially from civil society, donor agencies and government officials attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, addressing to people chairman Human Appeal International Othman Macbil said that despite all relief and development efforts carried out by government and NGO’s sector there is still a need of restoring the lives of flood victims.
Answering a group of journalists Othman Macbil said that Human Appeal has been carrying out its relief and development projects for vulnerable communities in Pakistan for last six years and in future the organizations intends to continue its sustainable solutions for Pakistani brethrens.
People from different walks of life including development and educational sector were present on this occasion. Some other prominent persons including Country Director Islamic Relief Dr. Fayyaz, Chief Executive READ Foundation Fayyaz Ahmed, Country Director Human Relief Foundation Natheer Ahmed and Vice Chancellor Preston University also enlightened the importance of social sector in the process of perpetual development of the country.
