ISLAMABAD: The Speaker of Indian Lok Sabha, Smt. Meira Kumar will arrive in Pakistan on Febuarury 21 on five-day official visit.
This will be the first ever-official visit of Lok Sabha speaker to Pakistan.
The National Assembly spokesperson said that Smt. Meira Kumar would lead a delegation comprising seven members from Lok Sabha and Rajia Sabha. He said the delegation is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza.
He said that the visit would help strengthen the relations between the parliaments of both the countries.
The spokesperson said that Speaker Indian Lok Sabha would also meet Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani,Chairman Senate and Pak- India friendship group members in the national assembly during her visit to Pakistan.
The Indian delegation will also visit Lahore where they will meet Governor Punjab, CM and speaker Punjab assembly.
