Javed Iqbal appointed new DG FIA

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General Punjab Javed Iqbal has been appointed as new DG FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) while Haji Habibur Rehman as new IG Punjab.

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Director General FIA Tehsin Anwar Shah has been replaced by senior police officer of grade-22 Javed Iqbal who has been rendering his service as IG Punjab.

On the other hand, Haji Habibur Rehman has been appointed as new IG Punjab. He has been rendering his duties on the office of Commandant Punjab Constabulary.

According to sources, Tehsin Anwar Shah has been appointed as DG National Police Bureau. Meanwhile Haji Habibur Rehman has been appointed as the new Inspector General of the Punjab police.

The tenure of Haji Habibur Rehman will be complete in 11 months and prior to this appointment he had severed as the SSP in Lahore and Peshawar. He had also served as CCPO Lahore during Governor Rule.
