PIA to buy five new 777 aircrafts

ISLAMABAD: The National flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Boeing will sign an agreement for confirmation of slots for delivery of aircrafts to PIA here on Tuesday.

Official’s privy to the development told online that the agreement would be signed between the two institutions for confirmation of slots for delivery of five 777 aircrafts to PIA to meet the needs of the airline in future.

Federal Minister for Defense Chauhdry Ahmed Mukhtar would chair the ceremony.

It is too pertinent here that the 777 family provides the flexibility with different capacities and range capabilities to meet all of the PIA’s long-range needs with one engine selection,

The 777 are the only jetliner to receive the Industrial Design Excellence Award, which was received for its passenger cabin.

More than 400 777s are currently in service with 30 airlines around the world.
