RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will arrest former president Gen Ret Pervez Musharraf from airport as he lands in Pakistan, the agency prosecutor told media on Saturday.

FIR Prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar said that the FIA was ready to ‘welcome’ former military ruler as anti-terrorism court (ATC) had convicted him.

He said that there was no need to issue new arrest warrants against the former dictator.

The prosecutor said orders had also been released to seize Musharraf’s property.

It is to mention here that the former despotic ruler had announced to return Pakistan on Jan 31.
