PPP to contest senate election jointly with PML-Q

LAHORE: PPP has decided to contest senate election jointly with PML-Q in Punjab besides adopting tough attitude against PML-N.
As per media reports this decision was taken during the meeting of interior minister Rehman Malik and Imtiaz Safdar Warraich with governor Punjab Latif Khosa here Wednesday.
Overall political and law and order situation of Punjab was discussed in the meeting and the decision of dividing PPP into two parts at organisational level in Punjab was also appreciated.
PPP leaders were of the view this way they had proved that they wanted division of largest province of Punjab into two parts.
It was decided in the meeting that joint candidates would be fielded in collaboration with PML-Q during upcoming senate election in Punjab. The estranged MPAs of PML-N would also be contacted, they further decided.
Latif Khosa said Imran Khan had dislodged PML-N politically. He said Allama Iqbal was against the dictatorial and undemocratic forces.
