Media City project, down payment hands over to contractor

ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of registered members of All Pakistan Newspaper Confederation (APNEC) and Media Workers Organization (MWO) have submitted down payments for getting plots in Media City Projects near Chak Shahzad.
In this connection, a function was organised in the office of MWO in which bank drafts and pay orders of Rs 10 million, submitted by members was handed over to the contractor Haji Amanat Khan, Chief Executive Amanat and Sons Enterprises (Pvt).
It is the first project, for the media workers, especially for the non-journalistic staff of the newspapers and news agencies, which is being completed in collaboration with private sector.
In the media city located near Taramri Chowk, the main boulevard would be laid down with the width of 88 feet. Land for mosque, park, school, community centre, hospital and commercial area has also been allocated. The residential plots would be given to members on soft installments.
Meanwhile, the management of the project has extended the last date for getting registration of the plot till November 14.
