Begum Nusrat Bhutto laid to rest in ancestral graveyard

LARKANA: Former first lady Begum Nusrat Bhutto has been laid to rest at Garhi Khuda Bux in the Bhutto family graveyard alongside her husband Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

Her funeral prayer was held at the Naudero house and was attended by her Son in Law President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, PPP co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto, central leadership of the PPP, prominent politicians and large number of PPP workers.

Begum Nusrat Bhutto died on Sunday in a private hospital of Dubai where her clinic death was declared for years.

Earlier on Monday the body of Begum Nusrat Bhutto was presented a guard of honor when it arrived at Sukkur airport from Dubai by a special aircraft.

The dead body was then flown to Naudero through helicopter for namaz-e-janaza and burial at Garhi Khuda Bux at family graveyard.
