Pak-China Friendship Walk marks China’s National Day

ISLAMABAD: Various social clubs, associations and Federal Directorate of Education jointly organized Pak-China friendship walk to mark the China’s National Day on Friday.

Former Foreign Secretary Senator Akram Zaki said on this occasion that Pak-China friendship is an anchor of peace and stability in the changing circumstances of the region. China is our trusted friend who stood behind Pakistan in difficult times.

He said that since 1950 Pak-China friendship became stronger and closer with the passage of time and it is the responsibility of our generation to nurture the relationship as it was in the past.

President All Pakistan China Friendship Association (APCFA) Mian Habibullah lead the walk while President Islamabad Crescent Lion Club Nasira Jameel, Founder Secretary Islamabad Crescent Lion Club Sabtain Raza Lodhi, Co-ordinator Friends of China Munir Ahmed along with other civil society members participated in the walk.

The speakers said China emerging as a force to reckon with in the new world order so it is our good-luck that Pakistan has its relationships with China on strong footings. They added it was need of the hour that two nations should play significant role to reinforce their relationship in all the fields including education, telecommunication, independent trade, and women entrepreneurs and people to people contact.

Apart from male and female students of various federal educational institutions a large number of teachers, women and civil society members participated in the walk. Students raised friendship slogans and played bands.

Organizers of the walk have distributed T-shirts and Peak caps with Pak-China friendship insignia.
