Cylinder blast in City Hotel blue area injured seven

ISLAMABAD: At least seven people have been injured in a gas cylinder blast in City Hotel situated at Blue Area Islamabad late evening.

The hotel that is only few kilometers away from the Prime Minister House where All Parties Conference is taking place rocked one of the busiest place of Islamabad.

The rescue teams and bomb disposal squad have reached at the location and started their search inside the hotel.

According to media reports seven people including a women have been injured in this blast whereas reports of some foreigners staying in the hotel have also received from media.

The injured people have been shifted to nearest hospital.

The SHO Kohsar police station believes that this might be a cylinder blast.

The blast shattered the glasses of nearby buildings also damaged few cars parked near the hotel. Office of Warid Telecom a cellular company, has also been damaged in the blast.

The police has cordon off the blue area.
