CHAKWAL: As many as twenty six people including twenty children died and seventy eight others injured in a bus accident near salt range Kalar Kahar on Monday.
According to media details the accident occurred due to failure of bus brakes.The reports also say that the bus was heavily loaded with passengers when it veered off the road at the Motorway in the Salt Range area of Chakwal.
The tragic accident took the lives of 26 people including 20 school children from Millat school who were going back to home after a class trip.
The SHO Chakwal said that 105 passengers were traveling on the bus whereas the maximum capacity on the bus was 72 passengers.
The injured passengers have been shifted to Chakwal and DHQ where condition of most of the passengers are said to be serious.

Update 01:12 AM: Reacting to the bus accident tragedy, parents and relatives of victim gathered as a mob and threw stones at the building of Millet School to protest against the management for overloading the tour buss.
Update 12:45 AM: Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad has ordered the closer of all educational institutions to avoid public unrest due to the anger in the city against the ill-fated decision of the school management to overload the tour buss.
