PUNJAB: As many as 521 new patients have been admitted to the hospitals across Punjab on Thursday besides the anti mosquito sprays.
With the increasing number of patients the administration of hospital as well as the dengue virus affectees, are facing sever difficulties to get a bed and obtain platelets which is necessary for the treatment of dengue virus.
The doctors, on the other hand say patients having symptoms of Dengue are being admitted to the hospitals while the rest with the fever complaints are sent back home.
According to media reports six patients suffering from dengue died on Thursday, raising the death toll from the virus to twenty seven.
The administration of Punjab, has ordered to vacate Punjab University hostels due to the horror caused by the horrifying disease.
Moreover a 12-member Sri Lankan Doctors Team would visit different hospitals in Lahore and review on the spot medical facilities and environment being extended to the dengue fever patients.
On the request of Chief Minister Punjab, the Sri Lankan experts would visit Faisalabad, Kasur and Rawalpindi also and hold meeting there with health authorities, says a press statement received here on Thursday.
