RAWALPINDI: Secretary Local Govt. Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal said that anti Dengue Virus Campaign should be coordinated as comprehensive to save the citizens on the attack of the virus repeated spray will be carried out in all areas of the division.

According to a press release, Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal said all departments should consider the challenge and should work on wafting light of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Every TMA should have at least one fog machine and other required spray machine to cover all areas to avoid any new case of dengue fever.

He said this while presiding over the meeting along with commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed held in commissioner office to review the arrangement of this campaign which was attended by DCOs of Rawalpindi , Jehlum, Attock Saqib Zafar, Mirza Mehmood ul Hassan and Shakil Ahmed respectively . Additional commissioner Ch. Habib ullah , EDO Health Dr. Zafar Iqbal Gondal, EDO MS Imtiaz Ahmed Malik, DO health Dr. Khalid Randhawa , Administrator and TMOs of all Towns.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed said that DCOs , Administrator ,TMAs and health department should continue preventive measures to avoid any emergency and this spray campaign should be continued till three months and re-sprayed in the areas already done.

Director / EDO health Dr. Zafar Iqbal Gondal briefed the meeting that 30 cases in Rawalpindi Division had been reported so far including 20 from district Rawalpindi, 7 from district Chakwal, 2 from Attock and one from district Jhelum.
