Eid-ul-Fitr 2011: 4 holidays likely

ISLAMABAD: Federal government is likely to announce 4 days holidays in connection with Eid ul Fitr.

Well placed sources told a summary in this regard had been sent to Prime Minister wherein recommendations have been made for declaring Eid holidays for four days from August 31 to September 3.

Federal government employees have to travel to remote areas to celebrate Eid at their native towns and on their return to office they have to face difficulties. Therefore, Eid holidays are likely to be announced for four days.

Formal approval for granting Eid holidays will be accorded by the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
