Security beefs up on death anniversary of Hazrat Ali

KARACHI: All arrangements have been made for fool proof security in Karachi in connection of death anniversary of fourth caliph of the Muslims Hazrat Ali that is to be celebrated on 21st Ramazan.

On the day some 4,000 police employees would be deployed on the route of mourning procession and the participants would be checked through electronic security gadgets including walkthrough gates and metal detectors.

In addition to these steps police has been instructed to keep a close eye on the suspicious elements.

Police would be assisted by Civil Defense, Traffic Police and other auxiliary departments. KESC has been asked not to carry out load shedding on the route of procession, whereas, help from sniffing dogs would also be taken to avoid any untoward incident.
