Summer holidays likely to be extended

ISLAMABAD: Director general of federal education directorate, Atif Mahmood Kayani has announced a meeting today (Monday) to decide any possible extension in summer holidays for educational institutions.

Atif Mahmood Kayani said that during next year, 2012, all school and collages would be holding only morning shifts, while he also announced setting up of two model schools in PM Colony, which would be formally inaugurated by PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani in coming few days.

It is pertinent to note that, keeping in view the intense heatwave parents had strongly demanded an extension in school holidays, preferably after Eid.
