PM says good news about ‘Siraiki province’ soon

MULTAN: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the nation would soon receive the news about the Siraiki province.
He was talking to the media persons at the Circuit House here on Thursday. Prime Minister who was in Multan to attend his father’s death anniversary told the media persons that President Asif Ali Zardari had called a consultative meeting to deliberate on the formation of the new Siraiki province on coming Tuesday. In that meeting, he said, the president will take all the allied parties into confidence over the formation of a Siraiki province.
The prime minister said that Pakistan People’s Party representing the masses of the country and after consultation with its allies would soon give good news about the Siraiki province. The Prime minister thanked all those who had come to attend his father’s death anniversary.
To a question, he said ties between the US and Pakistan would normalise soon. “I am hopeful that relations between the two nations, Pakistan and the US, would resume their former shape and the countries would come closer in the days ahead,” he said.
Recalling his father’s unfailing routine, he said his father always hosted an iftar party for his friends on the third of Ramazan. It is co-incidence that he died on the 3rd Ramazan too. “For the last 33 years, I am carrying on my father’s tradition so that his love for people could live on in the world. My father always advised me not to be overcome by emotions and never to mix them with politics. This is why, I remain above emotions while dealing with politics,” he said.
