ISLAMABAD: PML-N member National Assembly Anjum Aqeel has been shifted to Shalimar police station after he presented himself at Kohsar police station late Saturday.

According to sources, accused in land scam Anjum Aqeel was shifted by Armoured vehicle to Shalimar police station from Kohsar police station where he presented himself to Islamabad police.

He was surrendered to police late Saturday after declared a proclaimed offender by the civil court and PML-N leadership also pressurized him to capitulate, sources said.

Tight security was observed around the Shalimar police station as Interior minister Rehman Malik advised to arrange infallible security to avoid repeating Friday’s incident in which Anjum Aqeel Khan was forcibly taken away by the gun-toting PML-N workers from Shalimar Police station causing embarrassment for the federal police.
