KARACHI: The intelligence agencies on Wednesday feared a new wave of terrorist attacks in near future on important government installations in Karachi.

On the directives of high officials, posters were displayed in various places demonstrating ban on the people walking besides boundary walls of intelligence agencies’ buildings. Intelligence agencies increased patrolling in the areas in order to implement the ban by force if needed.

During the lingering fear of terrorist attacks, the boundary walls of the agencies and other areas including Mehran Base, all offices at Shahra-e-Faisal and in Airport are raised five feet more surrounded with barbed wires.

In order to avoid any untoward action, checkposts are setup after every twenty feet in which different contingents are performing their duties on separate times, said sources.
