CNG price likely to cross RS 100/kg

ISLAMABAD: The petroleum ministry has sent a summary to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to increase the gas price to 69.05 percent.

The CNG price will cross Rs 100 per kilogram, if PM Gilani signs the summary.

Sources told the government intends to level CNG price to petrol price.

The summary recommends increase of 69.05 percent in CNG, up to 15 percent for domestic and commercial consumers, 18.43 percent raise for industrial including textile sector and 96.06 percent increase for fertilizer factories.

After PM’s approval, CNG price in Punjab and Sindh will be Rs 96.2 while Rs 100.70/kg in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar and Balochistan. (samma tv)
