WHO warehouse catches fire in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Medicines worth millions burn to a crisp on Friday due to the fire that broke out due to short circuiting in a medicine ware house of World Health Organization in I-9 Sector of capital.
As per details, fire broke out in a foreign medicine house, overwhelming most of the parts of the building, located in sector I-9 on Friday early in the morning.
According to the WHO ware house administration, short circuiting became the reason of fire eruption which engulfed most of the building. Resultantly, medicines worth 0.4 million dollars burned to ashes that were collected previously for the flood affectees.
Rescue 1122 and fire brigades were called when fire intensified. Fire was put out after three hours of continuous tiring efforts by firemen whereas no life is lost in the incident.
