Royal British couple decline Pak invitation to attend Shandoor Fair

ISLAMABAD: The Royal British Couple has declined an invitation by the Provincial government for attending the Shandoor Fair due to security concerns.

The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa had sent an invitation to the Royal couple to attend the Shandoor Fair which is starting from July 7. The invitation says that since Lady Diana had also attended the fair thus the Royal couple should also do.

However, according to official sources, Foreign Ministry and UK High Commission in Pakistan in a circular to the provincial government have thanked for the invitation and adopted the stance that the Royal Couple cannot attend the Shandoor Fair .

The provincial government had sent the invitation to put an end to negative propaganda against tourism in KP.
