Chaudhry Majeed to be the new PM of AJK

ISLAMABAD: After the victory of Pakistan People’s Party in AJK general elections the Aiwan-e-Sadr Islamabad wants to bring Chaudhry Majeed as new Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

According to sources the in-charge of party campaign for AJK elections and sister of President Zardari , Faryal Talpur has called a emergency party meeting to discuss the formation of government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It is very much possible that the name of candidate for PM might also be finalized in the meeting.

Chaudhry Majeed is also the President PPP AJK.

Other than Chaudhry Majeed, there are three candidates who are in the run of Prime Minister’s seat.

Those candidates which are the candidates of premiership of AJK including former PM AJK Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary and Secretary General of PPP AJK Chaudhary Latif Akbar and Chaudhary Yasin.

Sources say that some important leaders of PPP are active in lobbying for Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary.

Sources also said that Muslim Conference can also be invited to create a new alliance in the government and the post of senior minister could be offered to MC.

Pakistan Peoples Party is at top position with 21 seats, whereas PML(N) has won eight and Muslim Conference has secured four seats in AJK Legislative Assembly.
