ISLAMABAD: Government has taken final decision to increase the pay and allowances of the government servants working in BPS-1 to BPS-15 by 20 to 25 percent in the next budget whereas it has been decided to cut the perks and freeze the allowances of high officials due to financial hardships and to control the government expenditures.
According to details government has finalized the federal budget for the fiscal year of 2011-12 in which it has been decided by keeping in view the price hike and decline in the buying power of the common man that salaries and pension of low-grade employees working in BPS-1 to BPS-15 would be enhanced by 20 to 25 percent.
However the allowances and perks including petrol, telephone, housing allowance, utility bills of Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and other high officials would be either diminished or brought under a limit. The government is expecting sizable savings from the decision as the donor agencies are also pressing hard to reduce expenditures.
It is worth mentioning here that Federal Secretary Finance Waqar Masood had also assured the protesting government servants that their pay would be increased in upcoming budget.

The most deprived-off ranks are BPS 17-19.
Inflation will also effect to employees BPS 17 to ownwards, if their salaries are not increased, will they be given cheap household items, etc.

plz increas pay for scaurty
It is a good decision for bps 1-15 because above bps 16 has already taking big salaries and earns more money by other unfair means.
This is very good for Grade 1 to 15 but not Good for Grade 16 to 19
This is not very good for all. My opion is that salaries are increase according to afratazar.
The government and its members are the responsible of any country.So they should be decide their
decisions according the rules of Islam.The prices of all the things are so high from Government But the Increments in salary is not according to expenses of people of Pakistan.I think that They also knows this thing but they are cruel enough so they didn’t care about it.But they should know we will all have to return to Almighty Allah.Allah will make justice on that day and then no one will help these type of Govern ere.So Remind Allah and be yourself right.
why grade 16 people are being ignored in this raise? its unreasonable…
Thats gud .If bps 16 and above are unhappy bugt 2011 .12. .So dnt wry inshallah in next bugt 2012 .13.U all happy
