ISLAMABAD: Proposed candidate for Member Legislative Assembly Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) Hafiz Ahmed Raza Qadri has disclosed more than 1200 fake votes in constituency LA-40 Velley-5 for general elections 2011.
Mr. Qadri, the proposed candidate of Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz (PML-N) said this while addressing a press conference here in national press club on Thursday.
He said that minister for Kashmir affairs and chief election commission is trying to illegally accommodate the candidates of Pakistan’s ruling party i.e Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). He said that numerous applications were forwarded along with evidences since October 2010 to the Chief Election Commission to exclude the fake votes from voter lists but stalemate continues as chief election commission postponed the inquiry three times.
He said today is the last date of submission of nomination papers but corrected voter lists for constituency LA-40 Valley-5 has yet not been completed and issued to the proposed candidates. The issued voter lists have more than 1200 fakes votes that are not acceptable to us, he added.
Meanwhile he demanded Government of Pakistan to take immediate action against the responsible of stalemate and injustice. He said that a detailed written report was also sent to leader PML-N Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to nominate some other reasonable candidate for general elections 2011, as he boycotted the unfair polls and decided to approach Supreme Court of AJ&K against chief election commission Khwaja Saeed.
Moreover he said that leader PML-N would call a meeting tomorrow to suggest further frame work of his party for general elections 2011.
