Stop slandering Pakistan: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that international community should recognize the sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism and now the drive to malign her should be stopped.

Speaking at the function of Red Crescent Association, he said Pakistan has lost almost 35,000 precious citizens in the war against terrorism which is more than any body else. No other country in the world can win this battle without support of Pakistan. .

He said that terrorists are defaming the country as well as Islam. The law against terrorism is very feeble in the country and it is requirement of the time to change it. Police had apprehended terrorist involved in Marriot Hotel blast , but due to legal discrepancies they were released by the court.

Rehman Malik was of the opinion that the country is passing through most crucial time of the history and the economy of the country is going down due to which the whole country is running on loans. It’s not strange thing in it if policemen are getting petrol for their vehicles on debt.

“During next year secret cameras would be installed in Islamabad to monitor the vehicles. Capital police has arrested many terrorists due to check posts that have been established in different areas of the city.

He said that government would provide full security to the Red Crescent. He said that the legislation regarding special persons and duty free import of ambulances are on the cards of the government.
