179,000 Pakistanis to perform Hajj this year

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khurshid Shah told National Assembly during the question-answer session that all Hajj applications submitted till today had been accepted and maximum facilities would be provided to Hajj pilgrimages.

He said that Hajj expenses are Rs 212,000 per head.

He maintained that due to increase in POL prices, Hajj expenses might be increased by Rs 260,000 per head. But, the government had fixed the expenses at Rs 212,000 and efforts were underway to further slash them.
