WWF to hold nature carnival today

ISLAMABAD: The WWF-Pakistan will be hosting the 11th annual traveling nature carnival today (Sunday) at Fatima Jinnah Park to enhance awareness about nature conservation among people.

Such events are aimed at enhancing awareness about nature conservation among students and the public through interactive games and competition, the World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan) stated.

The organization would host an array of activities including an art competition, magic shows, environmental puppet shows, interactive 3D model making competition, a lucky draw, live music and an environmental theatre. The carnival would also have food stalls.

WWF-Pakistan, working on environmental education for past two decades, would also hold 100 project stalls on various themes such as animals and plants of wetlands, on campus plantation, effect of water and air pollution on health, fresh water conservation, energy conservation and reduction of carbon footprint.

Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA), Mr. Imtiaz Inayat Elahi will be the chief guest of the event.
