Notice issued to Navy Chief & Defence Secretary in contempt of court case

KARACHI: Sindh High Court has issued notice to Navy Chief and Defence Secretary for filing response in the petition of ex-Lt Aqib about contempt of court.

During hearing of the petition of contempt of court on Friday, Sindh High Court bench compromised on Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Shahid Anwar Bajwa issued the notice to Pak Navy Chief and Defence Secretary.

The petitioner requested in his petition that departmental committee has decided illegally about his dismissal, adding that the court ordered to review the decision but the committee did not hold any meeting in this regard.

He stated that the court should take notice of his firing as the department violated the rules.
