ISLAMABAD: Students allied to all student councils initiated a protest on Monday against Quaid-i-Azam University (Q.A.U) authorities that would last for three consecutive days.
As per details, students under the tag of all councils started a three-day protest against the so-called policies of the university officials.
During the first day of the protest, students immensely criticized the university policies that failed to satisfy their reservations on lack of proper infrastructure, transportation for day scholars, ongoing load shedding, current water shortages, unjust fee structure, improper scholarship programs, lack of computer labs facilities and internet services in hostels, hostel facilities for bachelor’s program, separate quota for FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan and aggressive attitude of university administration.
According to online sources, the former Provost of Boys hostels Dr. S. A. Malik and former Resident Warden Dr. G. S. K. Niazi vowed to support the protest.
Moreover, the students said that such protests will continue until and unless their demands are accepted by the Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. Masoom Yasinzai.
