KARACHI: Four criminals arrested in connection with the murder of Wali Khan Babar, a reporter of a private TV channel, have confessed to killing of journalist here on Thursday.

According to the media reports, an eye witness recognized the four accused presented before the Judicial Magistrate amid tight security. The central accused namely Shahrukh alias Mani confessed the crime, claimed a TV report quoting police officials.

It is vital to mention here that the after a brief police encounter, the police arrested four accused including Faisal alias Nafseeyati, Syed Mohammed Ali Rizvi, Shahrukh alias Mani, Naveed alias Polka and Shakeel Sheikh in connection with the murder of Wali Khan Babar and recovered arms and a snatched car on the other day.

Wali Khan Babar – a journalist was killed in Karachi near a police check post on January 13 when he was in way to home after covering police operation in Gudap Town.
