RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Wednesday promoted four Major Generals to the rank of Lieutenant General.

According to the military sources, Chief of the Army Staff General Kayani has promoted four major generals which include Major General Ahsan Iqbal, Major General Javed Iqbal, Major General Asif Sajjad and Major General Abid respectively to the ranks of Lt Generals.

All the promoted major generals would get new postings.

Sources said that some of the corps commanders would also be changed. Bahawalpur Corps Commander is also likely to be changed

Former DG ISI Lt General Taj would also retire at the end of the month.

According to sources, new President for NDU would be appointed.
