Pak-India Semifinal: PM announces Half-day public holiday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has announced half-day public holiday (from 12:00 noon) on Wednesday (today) on the eve of cricket semi-final match between arch rivals India and Pakistan.

According to the notification, the decision of half-day public holiday has been taken by keeping in view the growing interest and zeal of the masses countrywide, while all government institutions will be closed after 12:00 noon. Therefore, people could enjoy semi-final match prolifically.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister directed the Interior Ministry to take effective security measures across the country, to address any untoward incident on the eve of cricket semi-final between India and Pakistan.
