Pakistan reached into the semis of cricket WC

MIRPUR: Pakistan stormed into World Cup semifinals after beating West Indies by 10 wickets in the quarter-finals match on Wednesday.

The Greenshirts’ win is a gift for the nation celebrating Pakistan Day today.

Jubilant cricket-lovers celebrated the historic win across the county by taking to streets and main roads, dancing on drum beats, chanting slogans “Pakistan Zindabad”.

Pakistan easily chased a paltry 113, put up by the West Indies, with both openers – Mohammad Hafeez and Kamran Akmal in just 21 overs, securing place into semifinals.
