‘Balochistan Mela’ to be held from 23 to 25 March

Quetta: On the occasion of Pakistan day, Balochistan mela would start from 23 March to till 25 March under the aegis of Civil defence in Askary park.

Talking to Online here on Saturday Director Civil Defense Balochistan Saleh Muhammad Nasir said that staff officer Masood Ahmed will lead the mela. The purpose of organizing the mela is to create awareness in public about the importance and effectiveness of civil defence training.

During the mela Civil Defence training like fire extinguishing, transferring injured from one place to another in emergency situation would be performed.

Director civil defence Balochistan Saleh Mohammed Nasir told that the purpose of organizing civil defence training on Pakistan day is to create awareness in nation to tackle natural calamities and disaster.

He further said that training of Civil Defense is even more necessary in present situation and people should come forward to acquire this training and save their families, nieghbours and people of Balochistan.

He further quoted that God himself said, “He who saved one person, saved the whole humanity”

Director General while answering a question said that our expert officials are providing regular civil defence training to students and people from all walks of life in spite of limited resources. Every year thousands of people are equipped with civil defence training. He asked people to attend Balochistan Mela excessively and prove that they are patriot citizens.
