KARACHI: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) central leader Maulana Ahmad Madani and his son Namaz-e-Janaza has been offered after Zuhar pray and they were laid to rest in tight security.

The ASWJ announced a countrywide mourning on March 11against the assassination of Ahmad Madani and his son Abu Bakar who were killed by unknown motorcyclists at Buffer Zone area of Karachi on Saturday.

Ahmad Madani and his son funeral were offered at Darul Uloom Mehmoodia Buffer Zone and they were laid to rest at Sakhi Hassan graveyard. Tight security measures were taken on their funeral and police and Rangers personnel were patrolling on this occasion.

Ahmad Madani was half-brother of Maulana Azam Tariq and he was active member of outlawed organization Sepha-e-Sahaba.
