ISLAMABAD: Members of National Assembly have condemned the murder attempt on Member National Assembly Lal Chand on Wednesday and demanded the arrest of person involved in the incident.

Members National Assembly condemned the murdered attempt on Lal Chand, and Minister for law Babar Awan has requested from Speaker National Assembly to set up of a committee who would investigate the incident.

Whereas Khurshid Shah assured to the Member of National Assembly that the suspects involved in the murder attempt of Lal Chand would be produced before court.

Member National Assembly Akram Sheik Gul, Abdul Qadir Petal, Shahbaz Bhatti and others told to National Assembly over a point of order here on Wednesday that the murder attempt on Lal Chandis condemnable and would not be tolerated. They said that police would provide safety to all parliamentarians.

Member National Assembly Lal Chand told to assembly that some unknown persons fired gunshots at him near toll plaza on super Highway Karachi. The Minister for Law requested to Speaker National Assembly to set up a committee to investigate the murder attempt incident.

Minister for communication Arbab Alamgair has said, the person involved in the incident must be punished. Speaker National Assembly made a committee who would present its report on Thursday.
