Australia closes its consulates in Lahore, Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Owing to the tender security circumstances, Australia has closed its Karachi and Lahore Consulates and has strictly directed its nationals to leave Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

A private TV channel claimed on Monday that Australian government has directed its citizens to immediately leave Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Balochistan provinces in Pakistan due to the deteriorating security situation in these provinces

Australians in Pakistan have also been directed to not visit sensitive locations in Pakistan except airports, to avoid unnecessary photography and limit their activities.
