ISLAMABAD: Its not million but billion of rupees have been fixed by the bookies on the name of the player who will lead Pakistani cricket team in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2011.
According to an email received by Jazba Blog not only bookies but few high officials from the board have also set billion of rupees on just one question “who will become the captain of Pakistani cricket team in World Cup?”
“Let me tell you how it works; right now there are two groups. First group comprised with pure bookies and second with bookies in collaboration with the cricket board. If first group placed money on the name of Shahid Afridi to be as captain the second group with set all his money on Misbah-ul-Haq and inform board to be name Misbah-ul-Haq as captain. The same will be happened if first group invest on Misbah so the second will invest on Afridi and board will name Afridi as captain” an email received by Jazba Blog revealed.
It is important to mention here that Pakistan cricket board had announced the Pakistani cricket squad for world cup on 18 January without naming the person who will lead the squad.
Sources in the email also said that decision not to announce the name of captain was deliberate and was a plan to earn bulks once for all.
“Most people in the board believed to be in the board for last time so they introduced this opportunity and now they are ready to full their bags with bucks before they leave.” Sources added.
The name of the captain is expected to be on February 4th.
