ISLAMABAD: Three unidentified robbers looted salary amounting to Rs 5.20 million of staff of a private TV channel News One here Wednesday and have made good escape.

As per details, staff of private TV channel News One enchased a cheque of Rs 5200000 from Muslim Commercial I-9 branch here. 3 unknown armed robbers while riding in a Suzuki Mehran intercepted them in I-8, snatched the amount at gun point and fled to Rawalpindi. Police was informed about this dacoity. A squad of Sabzi Mandi police started chasing the dacoits.

The robbers were running towards Islamabad Toll plaza. Call was given to police for reinforcement for 12 times but the matter was not taken seriously by the police from the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The robbers sneaked into a blind alley when they reached the area of British Homes. They intruded into a home at gun point. The owner of the house opened fire upon robbers and they fled. The robbers were injured but the police could not arrest them.
