Wali Khan’s death anniversary to be observed today

PESHAWAR: The death anniversary of renowned Khan Abdul Wali Khan would be celebrated with due respect and reverence, throughout Country, including Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.

A high security Red alert has been sounded throughout the Province, during the 23rd anniversary of Khan Wali Khan, who is credited with being son of late Khudia Khidmatgar, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan.

The event would be replete with various rallies and public gatherings, out of which the major one would be held in the Nishtar Hall of Provincial capitol of Peshawar and would be addressed by central and Provincial office bearers of ANP.

Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan had passed away, 22 years earlier in Jan 1988, and his dead body was buried in Jalalabad, on 22nd Jan in accordance with his will.

On this auspicious occasion of 23rd death anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and fifth anniversary of Khan Abdul Wali Khan , the Provincial government has announced a public holiday.
