Petition for removal of Sharmela Farooqui from her office filed in SC

ISLAMABAD: Petition has been filed in Supreme Court (SC) seeking removal of Sharmela Farooqui as advisor to chief minister Sindh.
Petition has been submitted by Habib ul Wahab Khairi, chairman Al-Jehad Trust whereby he has taken the plea that Shrmila Farooqui has been declared disqualified for ten years by NAB court, therefore, orders be issued for her immediate removal from her office as advisor to chief minister Sindh.
The petitioner has made federation, ministry of law and justice, government of Sindh, chairman NAB, Director General National Savings, Usman Farooqui, Aneesa Farooqui, Sharmela Farooqui and State Bank as respondents.
Habib ul Wahab Khairi took the ground NAB court had declared Sharmela Farooqui and her mother disqualified for 10 years in 2001 and also issued orders for confiscation of saving bonds worth 39.5 million rupees held by them.
Applicant further prayed that whatever facilities had been provided to Sharmerla Farooqui be withdrawn from her. Chairman NAB be also directed to render account of whatever amount was sent to him under the orders of court and the amount be deposited in national exchequer.
