KARACHI: Muthida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PML-Q agreed to devise joint strategy to resolve the issues of masses particularly related to electricity, gas and target killing.
Dr. Farooq Sattar addressing a joint news conference with PML-Q leaders including Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed said that they enjoyed cordial relations with each other. He said that Altaf Hussain expressed concerns over the gas and electricity issues and directed to resolve the masses issues.
Farooq Sattar further said that they have given their nine point agenda to PML-Q and they expressed endorsement in this regard. He further stated that Altaf Hussain also had reservations over the sacking of KESC employees.
The MQM Quaid while speaking to PML-Q leaders said that the country could not run on foreign loans and all the parties would have to come forward for resolving masses’ issues.
Farooq Sattar maintained that they would support PML-Q in Sindh while PML-Q would assist MQM in Punjab in a bid to close the duo provinces and erase the differences.
PML-Q leader, Mushahid Hussain said that decided to resolve the issues of public with the help of MQM and they shared their five point agenda with them. The five point agenda was comprised of terrorism, law and order situation, electricity and gas issues, which should be addressed at earliest, he added.
