ISLAMABAD: Former Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Kalim Imam has been appointed in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and notification is issued in this regard.

According to sources, former IG Islamabad Kalim Imam was transferred two days ago, he was deployed in the IB on Friday and the notification was issued in this regard.

Kalim Imam had performed his duty as IG Islamabad Police for one year and ten months.

During his tenure, he conducted several operations against terrorism and arrested dozens of terrorists, their masterminds and set up foolproof security in Islamabad.

The increasing terrorism was halted and several hideouts of the terrorists were destroyed due to special measures and his personal attention of Kalim Imam.

The Establishment Division transferred him in the IB to reduce crimes and special action against the terrorism. It is possible that a special task will be given to him within a couple of days.
